Theatre With Teeth

Theatre With Teeth is a student-run political theatre company based in Exeter, Devon. We produce new work, whether that be new writing, devised theatre, adaptation of existing works, or more experimental approaches. Our productions engage with current issues, the topics and politics that matter to, and affect, our audiences and performers.

Theatre With Teeth was set up in January 2007 by two drama students from Exeter University, Charlie Whitworth and Dan Rayner.  The company was created in response to a perceived lack of political awareness in the theatre scene at the university, and also in the wider student body.  Also, Charlie and Dan were disappointed that the majority of productions happening were revivals of work from the canon, and so set out to create a company that could effectively tackle these two factors and create shows that were exciting, challenging, and fun to both watch, and be involved with.
